Michael started his real estate career at Jones Lang Wootton and has held senior positions managing teams and executing transactions at Lehman Brothers, Zietsman Realty Partners and JLL. Michael has a reputation for providing sound advice, representing the interests of his clients and following through on execution.

Michael is a nationally respected real estate executive who has represented and advised many of the country’s leading real estate owners over a 35-year career. Michael specializes in the disposition and financing of office and retail assets located in the western part of the US. Michael travels extensively throughout Asia and Europe maintaining relationships and executing transactions with offshore investors.
Prior to forming Zietsman Property Group, Michael was an International Director of Jones Lang LaSalle in the Capital Markets Group. At JLL, Michael was responsible for certain regions and large, complicated transactions. He was a member of JLL’s Leadership Council and the Global Capital Markets Advisory Board. Michael formed Zietsman Realty Partners in 2004 and sold this boutique real estate investment banking firm to JLL in 2007. Prior to that, Michael was a Managing Director of Lehman Brothers in the Global Real Estate Group. Having lived in Asia and Africa and having transacted in most of the major US markets, and many leading global markets, Michael has a rare perspective on real estate ownership and factors that differentiate assets.
